Welcome to our beautiful event and retreat facility, located on 40 enchanting acres, just west of Wimberley, Texas. With low-EMF lodging, wilderness camping options, we allow those to feel a chance of being free of modern technology. Yes, we’re proud of our healing property! Known as “A Little Bit of Heaven” – Wimberley is just 15 miles west of San Marcos, off I-35 halfway between Austin and San Antonio, in the Heart of the Texas Hill Country. Time-wise we are only 45 minutes from Austin and 45 minutes from San Antonio. For Houstonians, just a short 2.5-3 hour drive.
Our facility is often used for yoga, meditation, art and spiritual retreats. We enjoy sharing our peaceful location, designed for low-EMF exposure and fresh air, we love sharing our property with our guests of diverse backgrounds. Retreat groups use our lodge to sleep 25 guests, an additional 3 can sleep in our “Juniper Tiny house, and 2-3 can sleep in our Lotus Suite. Retreat facilitators often use the suite as a quiet space away from the group, to meet and recoup. Notice the difference of being away from the city, clear views of treetops, low wireless internet exposure (except for access in our hall lounge) and enjoy our natural setting preserving the nature around us! We are thankful to be stewards of this enchanting forest.
Permaculture Design and Our Friendly Staff
Our family owned business has a small openminded staff willing to make sure you feel comfortable on the property. Throughout the year we are visited by a wide variety of groups and welcome everyone. We make sure not to interrupt retreat groups, providing privacy for community bonding, spiritual growth, and healing. If something needs attending to we are only a phone call away. We provide a natural space away from the city where folks can decompress and grow spiritually, however they are guided.
At Lotus Ranch we are taking steps to close wasteful systems and continue to make the property as sustainable & regenerative as possible through permaculture design principles. As we adopt new ways of managing our property we welcome retreat guests to participate in projects such as planting trees or wildflower seeding. If you are an interested retreat organizer, please let us know and we can plan an activity together with your retreat!
We maintain our forest to be natural, managing our footprint through recycling, composting, and responsible cleaning products. We also implement a wildlife management plan, which guides us to support the animal species that call our property home. We are proud to be a certified wildlife habitat through the Texas Conservation Alliance and National Wildlife Federation. Along with our sustainable practices we provide water sources, cover, forage, and space to raise young animals.

We offer both indoor and outdoor event locations, plus sleeping accommodations for up to 31 people. Nestled on a heavily wooded hill, with hidden meadows and ponds, you will enjoy total privacy. Just 4 miles west of downtown Wimberley, easy to find with only 2 left turns, Lotus Ranch is the perfect place for your next event. Add to your unique experience with a relaxing swim at The Blue Hole and Jacobs Well, just a few miles from Lotus Ranch.
